This Season's Compost
Extra steps we are taking: After our compost is screened and stable, we turn it one last time with an inoculation of a local fungal vermicompost Johnson/Su style compost. This reintroduces biology that might be lost with multiple turnings/screening of the compost. It also brings in beneficial microbes that we aren't able to cultivate due to the windrow style of composting we do. We strive to provide the best compost we can that will help feed your soil with nutrients and biology. This is a list of inputs we used.
- Sheep/cow/horse manure with wood chip/sawdust bedding
- Sweet corn & onions
- Virgin aged sawdust/wood chips
- Previously screened out wood chips/compost
